Pest Control Enforcement Advisory Council
The Pest Control Enforcement Advisory Council advises the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) on pest control enforcement issues. This council serves as a statewide forum for the coordination of pest-control-related activities to eliminate duplication of effort and maximize protection of the public.
The Pest Control Enforcement Advisory Council consists of 11 members: one representative of FDACS; a citizen not involved in the conduct of pest control; a state university urban entomologist; and eight people holding pest control operators' certificates issued under Section 482.111, Florida Statutes (F.S.), two of which are actively involved in general household pest control, two in structural fumigation, two in lawn and landscape pest control, and two in termite control.
The council operates under the authority of Section 482.243, F.S.
