Office of Agricultural Water Policy's Rule Development Activities

Pursuant to the requirements of Senate Bill 712 (2020), the Office of Agricultural Water Policy is undertaking rulemaking to update Chapter 5M-1, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). 

The rulemaking will ensure that the language of Chapter 5M-1, F.A.C., is consistent with the terminology contained in statute, adopt by reference a General Notice of Intent to Implement Best Management Practices (BMP) and a Nutrient Application Record Form, and make changes to clarify how enrollment in the BMP program occurs and corrective action takes place in the event of noncompliance.
